Intelligent Conversations

Browser is the bearded collie. Murphy is the neufoundland. They are probably two of my favorite dogs to walk.
Browser loves me dearly, and can't seem to take his eyes off of me on our walks. Murphy is jut the largest dog I have ever walked. Either way, you can't walk these dogs without having a smile on your face.
Yesterday, I walked the Murphster, followed by Browser.
As I was walking Browser, I was telling him about Murphy, and how much fun it might be to walk them together. I told Browser that he would look like a chihuahua next to Murphy.
When I looked up, I saw a woman gardening, a few feet away.
"Oops!--You caught me having an intelligent converstaion with the dog!"
We both laughed.
"He's a good listener," I added.
She replied: "Is he deaf?"

It Comes in Threes

I couldn't write about it when it happened. Too negative.

Long story short, I found another bird, another morning dove. I thought he had a broken wing. I took him to the bird lady for healing.
Turns out it wasn't a broken wing at all. It was neurological...From eating something poisonous. Damn pesticides users! Try to kill one pest, but someone feeds on that pest, and then gets sick. And someone feeds on him, and it's a chain reaction. I cried for two days.

Then Olivia died. She was a client's cat, we didn't expect her to die at all. She got sick, and went to the vet. They did bloodwork. We rejoiced to find out she was diabetic. Giving her insulin sounded manageable. There was more than that wrong. In one day we went from rejoicing to ttears of sorrow, when they had to put her down.

Another client informed me that same week that she had to put her bijon, Cuddles, down as well. Cuddles had battled cancer and had gone through surgery and chemo. She was recovering and doing well. Apparently, the cancer came back, and the humane thing to do was to say goodbye.

goodnight sweet friends, until we meet again.
