Lady Left the Building

Lady touched me like no other dog.
She was inherited by a client on the death of her father.
She mourned the death of her owner. She clung to the daughter who took her in. When I started walking her, she wouldn't go past the next house without wanting to run home. It tooks weeks before she would go around the block with me. She eventually learned to trust me, and even to love me.
Sometimes I got a "Woo woo woo woo woo" from her on my arrival. Sometimes she had so much energy she acted like a four year old. Sometimes she just acted old and tired, which is what she was.
Last night she died.
